In contrast to carved signs, on blasted signs the background is etched away, leaving the letters and border standing out. We use urethane, which offers the look of wood without the problems of wood, and it has a longer lifespan than wood. The use of urethane also allows us to use Akzo Nobel automotive paint, giving the sign a far superior finish over any oil based paints. We also offer blasted signs in redwood, which shows off the natural imperfections in the wood and gives a rustic appeal. Graphics on either substrate can be hand-painted or digitally printed to create any custom look you desire.
Custom, maintenance-free post mounts are available, using smooth or fluted PVC plastic post covers and urethane caps, all painted to coordinate with the sign. All hardware for installation is stainless steel and aluminum, which means your sign will be completely maintenance free.
